And of course there's no better PIZZA wear than one made by my favourite Harajuku brand of all time - Candy Stripper!! I was just tidying up my wardrobe and realised half my stuff are from there. These 1st season mathematical Adventure Time Castel boots (released/bought 2015) are different from what I have so far. They're of canvas and slightly lighter. Dr Marten's has recently released final series, and personally, Ice King is Nice King.

To my surprise, it was only slightly under 2,000yen, more value than a hotdog set sold at the every end of the Main Street!

And why I do I want to take any chance not to make an all black outfit just for this tee? Especially when I bought some more black items from a Singapore/overseas designers' market the week after.xx

Lace up skirt from eight slate - A little tight now (reached the market too late, so couldn't get an appropriate size) and I'm training to fit better into it. A good reason to exercise a little more.

Ultra-warm-yet-light MA-1 bomber jacket from AMOS ANANDA. Items from this brand all are unisex. The bomber jacket is really cute with the zip details and the row of stars on my left arm. It was nice to be able to meet the designer, Amos in person at the market! (Items are available offline at Naiise stores yo!)

Scissorshair

Edward has scissors for hands.

I'm not losing out either. There's one on my hair! And antique one! Like what Sweeny Todd might possibly used.

 

Although it's tiny compared to my mum's vintage scissors, it's big enough to get some attention. There's no need to wear any other accessories as this piece is already detailed enough. Choose from gold or silver.

Black x Purple

I was looking for accessories with natural stones all over physical shops and all over the internet. Then guess what, the usual, trusty Born Pretty Store did not disappoint at all! They even had both colours I was looking - milky white and purple! Also, there was a really kawaii set of four punk style rings which really caught my eyes. Ended up getting the rings set and a purple natural stone ring and feeling really accomplished!

These 2 different set of rings simply complimented each other so well I could cry!

For a waaaaaaaaay too reasonable price, everything was so beautifully made. There was even a clear stone (far left) for the set of four rings!

The purple crystal (far right) which had a very even and soft tone, was nicely bounded onto the ring. Initially I thought the ring was running a little huge for my bony fingers, and then I realised it is adjustable! Ahhh salvation.

Wedding Prep Sneak Peek 結婚式・披露宴の準備!! ①

Last-last week we did a pre-wedding photo shoot at The Aisle Bridal, a studio near my place. Prior to that, I was approached by an online boutique Sherry London for a collaboration. I thought my pre-wedding shoot would be the perfect occasion to feature a piece of their fine collection. As we were all mad-busy on the shooting day, there weren't enough opportunities to do a proper "Making of".

A mini "Making of" will be featured in my next post. Meanwhile, fred not, there's still quite a lot to see! While the actual photos in my wedding gowns and the dress are being retouched and developed by the cameraman right this moment, I've created follow-up photos of my choice made at Sherry London's.

Sherry London is an online boutique based in London, UK. They specialise in bridesmaid dresses, and dresses for special occasions. Making a choice was a difficult one because it's the first time I ever ordered an elaborate dress online. Or rather, it's the first time I ever attempt wearing something this elegant. I'm just very afraid I don't look good in such dresses. Lucky for me, there are just too many beautiful items at the store, which means there's definitely something for me somewhere. It took me two hours to shortlist a few from their huge collection, then finally decide on one. I was like, OK IT HAS TO BE THIS↓↓↓(Link)

先々週、シンガポールのザ・アイル・ブライダル(The Aisle Bridal)で結婚式の前撮りしてきた。
前撮りの直前、イギリス・ロンドンのオンラインブティック「シェリー・ロンドン」からアプローチがあったので、スタジオにお願いし、ショートドレスも撮影してもらったよん!  残念ながら本当忙しかったのでこの１着のメイキングはなかった。でもでも、自宅で追加で撮影したよん!

オンラインブティックでパーティードレス頼むのは今回初めて。そもそも、パーティードレスを着たこともなかった。きっと似合わないと思ったから。シェリーの膨大なコレクションを2時間ぐらいじーーーーっくり見て、頼んだのはショートパーティードレス！これならいけそうじゃん！

頼んでからの2週間が経って・・・

HERE IT COMES HERE IT COMES!!! Waaaaaaaait a minute. Something's not right...THE CRYSTALS ARE IN A DIFFERENT COLOUR! But heck, it's gonna look a lot more impressive and more bridal-ish compared to the image's black crystals. Anyway I'm so happy!

来た！！！けど、あれ？！どこかに違和感があって・・・ビジューの色はイメージ写真とちょっと違うｗｗｗ　まあ、こっちのほうがインパクトがあってブライダルっぽくて好きかも♪ 本番撮影はこんな感じだったが、自宅用だけなのでロック風にアレンジしてみた。 ブライダルだけじゃなく、会社/学校/友達のウェディングパーティーなのでも着ていけるおすすめなコーデ！レースとビジューのディテールで十分インパクトあるから、ヘアスタイル、アクセ、靴はできるだけシンプルにキープ。

What you see above is my styling for the actual photo shoot. Because the dress already has lots of glamourous details, it's best to keep the the hairstyle, accessories and shoes to the simplest. Theme - "Don't kill off the pwetty crystals!" As for my follow-up photo shoot today, I did a rock look. This look should be suitable for most social occasions.

Perhaps the dress was made for a western audience in mind, the length was longer than what I expected and it covered my knees. To make up for that, I've put on a pair of stilts. Check out the back of the dress as well, saturated with crystals.

Side swept / pony tails are highly recommended.

たぶん、ドレスは欧米用だから、チュールの部分はイメージより長くて、ひざをカバーしてしまった。 ヒールの高い靴で足で足を長く見せた。 後ろもビジューギッシリ♪

このドレスは重そうに見えるが、見た目よりずっと軽かった！一人でもスイスイと着れちゃうよ。いい布が使われてるから熱くも寒くもならない。写真を見るだけじゃ分からない機能付だよ！→→なんと、ブラジャー内蔵ｗｗｗ　こいうのは以外と助かる！（念のためにヌーブラも準備したほうがいいと思うけどね）

The dress isn't as heavy as it looks. It's quite light-weight so I could put in on effortlessly. The material used was of good quality and I wasn't feeling too hot or cold in it. One extra thing about the dress which you are unable to see here is...it has a helpful built-in bra top! How nice would it be if all other brands' dresses have the same function too!

That dress I wore while in the bathtub.

Did you see my previous post on hanging out at Westin? Glad you did! (Please check it out if you haven't, here). Today's post is a continuation, a.k.a the outfit part - what I actually wore to my little adventure, or if you recall, sitting in the bathtub.

 

Just in case anything goes wrong, I used black heavily and also items from the same brand "Glad News" in today's featured look. GladNews' the brand I always went to while still in Mito, Ibaraki, Japan as it's the coolest brand in the whole prefecture. Its main shop's in Shibuya 109. It's so popular, its kick-ass items are usually sold out as soon as they're released. I'm fortunate to be able to get one of these barb wire print dresses they featured on their instagram. The leather jacket's also from Glad News. (Got it for 90% off three years back! Muaha! Click for another look in the same jacket.)

If you look careful enough, the barb wires are all made of  ☠ bones ☠. Horror-kawaii! ♥♥

Added on a pentagram harness to toughen the look up further. I never thought I could win it from Tealecoco...YAYSSSSSSSSS!♥ Yes, I just want to tell people that I am tough and you don't tell a tough person to do unnecessary work! Nah.

Wrapping up the look with a pair of UNIF Bound Creepers - my first pair of DHL-ed shoes. It's my first time ever to buy kicks from the US! Weeeee! On this note, sorry for the lack-of-shoes styles that I posted a little earlier on. How's my IKEA rattan chair though? (It was cheaper than the delivery fees! Damn!)

 

Notice the lack of neck/arm accessories. Didn't put on any not because I forgot; there was no necessity.

So at the end of this beautiful week, I would love to share a beautiful video that has been loooooonnnnnnng overdue, like, at least one Autumn/Winter season overdue and I am deeply sorry about this. This video was made by my friend Keit from Bulgaria, who has been the nicest and sweetest co-worker I ever had at my previous fashion company. She was one of the reasons who kept me going in a dreadful workplace. No life? CHECKED - which was why I had no opportunity to share the video until today. I think, one of those days I was slaving away with my mate Coba-chan at company when we received this super happy video from Keit! Couldn't say how excited we were!

Now to the superest awesomest video someone has ever made for me and my ex-team!! Keit's happy styles never go outdated, so the styles she kindly created for us a while ago still very much applies NOW! ♥ Thank you so so so much, Keit! Blagodaria!♥ (← Hope I didn't get it wrong!)

Sarpok Local Artists!

Received couple of hello mails and a collab invite in the last two weeks and almost cried. Like my leader at work always says "whoever talk to us are our ally". Therefore, thank you my dear allies♥  Please please please feel free to approach me for any writing/graphic design/fashion styling stuff.

(I'm no longer an employee of some Tokyo online store so I can't and don't, sponsor clothes for bloggers anymore, nor send me your styling photos for 2012/2013 collections. To make it a little more explicit,  "Now*Idon't*Style".) 

To the topic - SAPOK LOCAL ARTISTS! "Sapok" is the Singlish (colloquial English) equivalent of "Support". Today's piece was done up by my one of my kohai-s (junior) from my part-time-times, now talented local (Singaporean) independent designer/artist Sarah Thursday! The piece I eventually chose from the sea of awesomeness was "Mortality", a collaboration with her local designer friend Ultra Violets. I like how the goldfish is swimming through the astronaut dude. All her stuff on sale are also printed in Singapore♥, so you don't have to worry about the quality. The tee is so comfortable and I've been wearing it, with a pencil skirt, to my office even on Mondays!

"HEYYY I thought you no longer work in fashion?!"

Anyway, this coordinate is good for your, what you call that, Coachella, Rochella  or Coachformelah or whatever upcoming Notformelah music festivals, which I don't care lah. It's good because you'd be able to hike through the mountains without tripping on long skirts. The only thing bad is you probably gonna end up donating to blood mosquitoes. Whatevs, charity!
